| It's not like I don't want to do it. But firstly, let me explain. The teacher has already humiliated, then later give us the homework.
It's better for a child to learn by himself (rule or anything), not because of fearing, but because of the self-consciousness.

| agree with phoenixi0n let them learn but not coz of fear
@xevex not only explanation but the example of behavior is also needed or else it will not work

| we don't need physical force anymore if the children have the self-conciousness. but most of them didn't have, so what can bind them is fear. |

| not at all.. wat can make children learn besides fear and self-consciousness is.. th motivation... my teacher always did that 2 me when i was in junior high school.. like comparing me 2 my other smarter frenz.. made me want 2 prove it 2 him.. hahaha ----------- You must be the change you want to see in the world ==Mahatma Gandhi== | |

| i agree with mar. Comparison is not good because it can cause the children lost their self-confidence.
Also something like rules can't use motivation, right? If the children can't keep the rules, parent should make some kind of punishment. Thank god if the children can gain their self-conciousness with non-physical punishment, But if they can't, the last way is physical force. |

| rules?? may be they can compare th obedient and rule-breaker one?? 4 me,th comparison always make me motivated.. may be it'll be bad at first.. but next think they'll try 2 prove.. ----------- You must be the change you want to see in the world ==Mahatma Gandhi== | |

| comparison will not will with everyone
th rule breaker often break th rule for attention seeking i think so it is no use to compare them with th obedient one

| i agree wif mar andra... not all of children can be motivated by comparison.... juz like me when i was a child... i dont care wif wat my family said about comparison... they always compare me wif my sis who cleverer than me... and oso sometimes children break the rule coz they feel boring wif they daily activities... | |

| i always use motivation to improve but in the opposite way. my mom always say i'm cleverer than my sister so if my sister can do it, why can't i? but usually a rule breaker won't care if they're compared with the obedient one... because they're doing what they want to and yes, most of it to get attention esp for children with working parents. |

| no.. comparison won't do the trick. most children will think.. i'm not him, he maybe can do it but i can't. the end, no improvement n that child stay like he is. |
